Casey Evelsizor MSN, CRNP, PMHNP-BC

Prescirber

Taking the first step toward mental health care can feel overwhelming and you don’t have to do it alone. My name is Casey and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 10+ years of experience working in the mental health field. I provide medication management for people ages 6-55 navigating various mental health conditions. I particularly enjoy working with children (ages 6-12), young adults (ages 18-30), neurodivergent clients (including autism and ADHD), and those navigating depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, PMDD, or perinatal/postpartum challenges.

My approach is patient-centered and rooted in evidence-based practice. I value creating an affirming, inclusive environment where you can feel safe and free of judgement. I aim for you to feel heard and supported, with the goal of helping you build a life that feels balanced and authentic.

I began practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in 2020 and have gained experience working at UPMC’s Western Psychiatric Hospital Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders and New Directions Mental Health. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked for 7 years as a psychiatric nurse in settings including inpatient, PHP/IOP and crisis centers. My experience as both a nurse and a nurse practitioner has given me a strong foundation to provide holistic care to my clients.
