Meghan Watson
Therapist
After growing up in Pittsburgh, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from The
Ohio State University. While completing my coursework to earn a Master’s in clinical mental
health counseling at Northwestern University, I am also working in the hospital setting using
CBT and DBT frameworks to facilitate psychoeducational groups for adults.
My training in the psychodynamic approach to therapy has shaped my perspective on
the therapeutic process. Using the psychodynamic approach, I encourage clients to identify and
address the root causes of their inner turmoil in order to develop enduring solutions. I believe
that clients can achieve personal growth and long-term wellness through practicing self-
awareness, exploring past experiences, and processing difficult emotions. During each session I
aim to provide an environment where clients feel empowered to confront their challenges and
build themselves a meaningful, fulfilling life.
