Mental Health Services in Pittsburgh: For Every Step of Your Journey

Getting support for your mental health shouldn’t require navigating a confusing landscape of referrals, waitlists, and providers who don’t talk to each other. At Weingarden Psychological Services, we’ve built a multidisciplinary practice precisely so that the care you need, whether that’s therapy, medication, assessment, or something more specialized, is available in one trusted place.

We serve adult clients throughout the Pittsburgh area from our Aspinwall office, with telehealth available across Pennsylvania and through PsyPact, in a growing number of states. We also serve mental health professionals and healthcare organizations through clinical supervision, practice consulting, and educational programs.

Our therapists work with adults across a broad range of concerns using evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, IPT, IPSRT, and more. Sessions are adapted to your specific needs, goals, and pace, whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself. Couples counseling and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy are also available.

Telehealth and In Person Appointments Available.

Psychiatric Mental Health Medication Management

Our board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) provide expert evaluation and ongoing medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions. No psychiatrist referral is needed. Expert, compassionate prescribing from board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
Our PMHNPs provide comprehensive psychiatric medication evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing management for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and more. Medication services are available in-person and via telehealth.

Psychological Assessment and Evaluation: Comprehensive evaluations to better understand your unique cognitive and emotional profile, often the first step toward a clearer path forward.

Clarity through comprehensive, expert assessment: for diagnosis, accommodations, vocational planning, and more.
We offer a wide range of psychological evaluations for adults, adolescents, and children: diagnostic evaluations, ADHD and neurodivergence assessments, personality and clinical assessments, couples and premarital assessments, vocational assessments, pre-surgical evaluations, and police fitness for duty psychological exams. Evaluations may be partially covered by insurance; formal report writing is typically self-pay.

Integrative Trauma-Focused Bodywork: A holistic, body-focused approach to trauma recovery that works in harmony with your therapy or medication care.

A holistic, body-centered complement to therapy and medication for trauma and PTSD.
Our Integrative Bodywork Trauma Practitioner, this service takes a whole-person approach to trauma recovery, working somatically through breathwork, neuroaffective touch, yoga, and meditation to release the physical dimensions of trauma stored in the body. Particularly valuable as a complement to talk therapy or medication, for clients whose trauma has a strong somatic component.

Specialized Skills Training: Evidence-based skill-building programs including DBT, CBT, and other structured approaches that give you real tools for real life.

Structured, time-limited skill-building programs for bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and emotion regulation. Led by Dr. Jon Weingarden, who trained in IPSRT under Dr. Ellen Frank and oversaw eating disorder programming at UPMC’s Western Psychiatric Hospital, these focused programs go beyond therapy to give individuals and family members concrete, evidence-based tools for managing specific conditions. Sessions are self-pay and available for both the person with the diagnosis and their loved ones.
